Abstract

For years, the graph representation has been a widely used technique in many scientific disciplines. The computational representation of graphs has been developed to meet the needs of these disciplines, leading to abundant and varied software. The available APIs (Application Programming Interface) to visualize graphs form a heterogeneous group in constant evolution. Often this condition forces the user to select a particular API, conditioning the future development and maintenance of the created application. This project presents a solution as a generic API or meta API, which provides an architecture that detaches the computational representation of the graph from a particular implementation. As use case, and starting on the basis that an ontology can be represented as a directed acyclic graph, within this project will be developed a tool for visualizing and mapping ontologies.
