Vicomtech achieved in 2017 the HR Excellence in Research recognition of the European Commission, which proves its compromise with open, transparent and merit-based recruitment of researchers (OTM-R: Open, Transparent and Merit-based Recruitment of Researchers). This acknowledgment adds up to previously-obtained ISO9001:2015 and UNE166002:2014, which means another step forward towards international excellency in advanced management in R&D&I, an aspect of the DNA of the centre since the beginning.
Vicomtech is one of the first centres holding both the ISO 9001:2015 and UNE 166002:2014 certificates. This internationally-renowned certification places it at the leading edge in research quality and vouches for its commitment to process quality.
Vicomtech Technological Centre has obtained the maximum certification in innovation management. Besides, it has been the first in updating the AENOR innovation management system to the new version of the UNE 166002 rule, published in 2014. This acknowledgement recognises Vicomtech’s excellence in RDI and places the Center on the cutting edge of innovation.
This certificate gives credit to the professional management of RDI. The recognition is now based on the new version of the rule, which follows the European Technical Specification TS 16555 of Innovation Management, published by the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN).
On December 2015 the Centre obtained the Silver A Advanced Management Basque Award. This award is a recognition given to the entities with the most advanced management practices, which are seeking the balanced satisfaction of all their groups of interest, customers, workers, management boards and society. Vicomtech uses the Advanced Management model as a reference in order to evaluate and improve its management system, and has received this award after an external evaluation made by members of the EUSKALIT Evaluation Club.
To ensure it uses the highest quality methods, all its activities are covered by the innovation management system: continuous improvement and measurement of results, technology innovation process optimisation and knowledge transfer and generation.
