Technology readiness for multi-vehicle automation for the industrial sector

AUTOLIB

The AUTOLIB project was an Elkartek-type project, funded by the Basque Government, during the 2019 and 2020 financial years. The project is entitled "Technological preparation for multi-vehicle automation for the industrial sector". The research carried out during the project focused on the development and integration of enabling technologies for autonomous driving in three main domains: light (automotive), heavy (railway) and industrial mobility.

Vicomtech's role, in addition to leading the project, was to integrate driving assistance technologies into Vicomtech's instrumented vehicle (object detection with LIDAR and Camera), as well as to integrate Vicomtech's Driver Monitoring System (DMS) into AIC's high fidelity driving simulator.

Vicomtech led a consortium formed by other research centres such as Tecnalia, CEIT, Ikerlan, BCAM, UPV/EHU, AIC and the University of Mondragon.
