Vicomtech-IK4 participated as a representative of IK4 showing the fatigue-detection system developed, with the collaboration of Datik, with artificial vision and image processing techniques. The system consists of a camera that detects the position of the driver’s face, this permitting the determination of the state of the eyes and the making of a follow-up of them. Continuous blinking over a certain period of time will deliver a visual or sound alarm to the driver, pointing out their tiredness and reminding the driver how dangerous it is that he/she falls asleep while driving.

During the event attendees were able to try this system by placing themselves in front of the camera and proving the application is able of detecting their fatigue level.
