Artificial Intelligence forms part of the DNA of our technologies. Due to our own nature, we are very familiar with multiple types of data, whether images, sensor data, videos, texts, 3D models, etc.
And we know how to process and comprehend the value hidden behind them by making use of Data Intelligence and Visual Analytics algorithms. We apply the most advanced approaches of Machine Learning –including Big Data and Deep Learning, among others– to specific technological fields which are a fundamental part of Artificial Intelligence, such as Computer Vision, Image Processing and Speech and Natural Language Processing. But we do not focus solely on the technological aspects: for us, the most important thing is to apply Artificial Intelligence to real-world problems. In this regard, we are a leading applied R&D centre for Artificial Intelligence in fields such as industrial machine vision (or cognitive vision), autonomous driving, and biometric and human activity recognition.
With regard to the analysis of industrial data, we use Data Intelligence and Visual Analytics approaches in many complex scenarios, such as advanced manufacturing and the oil and gas sector. We have many applications for language technologies which make use of Artificial Intelligence, for example, machine translation for the industrial, administrative and medical sectors, among others, the transcription of media (audio and video) and speech recognition for dialogue systems and call centres, among others. Our decision-making support systems are helping doctors to handle cancer better, and thanks to the medical image processing, we offer automatic means of discovering and segmenting tumours or helping doctors to plan surgical interventions. We also use Artificial Intelligence in cybersecurity and other Digital Security fields. In short: for decades, many of our projects have been transferring Artificial Intelligence to real-world applications.
