Vicomtech is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced European Projects Manager to play a pivotal role in supporting our research teams involved in various Horizon Europe Cluster, particularly in the Security Field. The selected candidate will take charge of ensuring the seamless execution and accurate reporting of
collaborative research and development initiatives. In addition, they will be instrumental in fostering the growth of new European Projects, actively contributing to concept development, consortium building, proposal preparation, and grant phases.
Responsibilities:
- Actively contribute to the preparation of proposals presented by the Centre.
- Proactively participate in the establishment of new proposals in collaboration with Department Heads and Principal Researchers.
- Identify and engage project partners, leading consortium formation efforts.
- Promote Vicomtech within the international research community.
- Stay informed about the trends and directions of European Research programs and themes.
Candidates must have:
- Excellent written and spoken command of English. Knowledge of Spanish, German, or French is advantageous.
- Third-level education, preferably in business studies, administration, or engineering. Other qualifications and professional experience will be considered.
- Availability for moderate travel within Europe.
- Ability to lead and motivate colleagues, exercise influence and judgment, and positively challenge stakeholders.
- High-level critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
We value candidates:
- Prior work experience in similar positions.
- Knowledge of one or more European research programs.
- Familiarity with the functioning of EC’s Directorates General, their Agencies, European Technology Platforms, etc.
- Understanding of various European project proposal preparation, evaluation, and execution models.
- Strong business analysis skills with an ability to apply best practices in this area.
