Junior R&D Business Developer in Security and Digital Technologies

We are looking for a person with a junior profile to join the Transport and Security Division, with an interest in growing professionally in the field of technological valorisation and applied innovation. The selected person will provide support in identifying opportunities and developing relationships with companies, especially in the security sector, both in the physical and digital fields, with the possibility of extending this activity to other strategic sectors such as transport, logistics, finance or retail, depending on the fit of our technologies to the challenges posed by them.
The work will be carried out in coordination with the centre's technological areas specialising in artificial intelligence, computer vision, connected systems, cybersecurity and data analysis, ensuring alignment with the centre's research activity at national level.
Responsibilities of the position:
- Support in the identification and attraction of companies with potential for the development of R&D or technology transfer projects in the field of security and other related sectors.
- To accompany in the technological and commercial prospecting work, detecting the innovative needs of companies and aligning them with the capabilities of the centre in periodic action plans.
- Participate in the elaboration of value proposals for collaborative applied research projects.
- Assist in the identification of funding instruments (regional and national) appropriate to the profile of the companies.
- Contribute to the negotiation processes in the elaboration of contracts and agreements, including those related to the management of the centre's intellectual property.
- Ensure the monitoring of the implementation of contracts and agreements with clients, in collaboration with the technical, administrative and legal teams, and assisting in the resolution of incidents associated with them.
- Collaborate in the representation of the centre in technical forums, sectorial events and meetings with external entities.
Candidates must have:
- Education: University degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronics, Industrial) or related careers. A master's degree or specialisation in innovation, technology, business administration or management will be an advantage.
- Previous extensive experience is not required, although it would be an asset:
- Internship or first job experience in the field of innovation, technology, business transfer or development.
- Knowledge of or interest in the security sector (public security, critical infrastructure, cybersecurity, etc.) and its digitalisation.
- Good communication skills, proactivity, learning capacity and motivation to grow professionally in the environment of a technology centre.
- Languages: fluent in Spanish and English. Basque will be an asset.
- Willingness to travel locally and nationally.
