Vicomtech (www.vicomtech.org) is a private Applied Research Centre specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Visual Computing, and Interaction. Located in Donostia-San Sebastián and Bilbao, it has a strong national presence in applying cutting-edge AI technologies across multiple sectors. We are members of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA) and GraphicsVision.ai, an international network specialized in Computer Graphics (https://graphicsvision.ai/).
In the Connected, Cooperative, and Autonomous Systems department, we build algorithms for the mobility of the future. We are seeking an individual passionate about computer vision and machine learning who wants to explore how AI can contribute to perceiving a vehicle's dynamic environment in a safe and understandable way.
As part of our team, you will work with state-of-the-art technologies and models, optimizing their performance and ensuring they are robust, efficient, and reliable. We are looking for a researcher profile: proactive, curious, eager to learn, and someone who enjoys working in a high-level technical collaborative environment.
Candidates must have:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering / Master’s in Artificial Intelligence or equivalent.
- Programming: Experience in Python and C/C++.
- Deep Learning: Experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch preferred).
- Computer Vision / Machine Learning: Proficiency in libraries such as OpenCV, Pandas, Scikit-learn, MMDetection, Point Cloud Library (PCL), etc.
- Languages: Fluency in spoken and written Spanish. Intermediate/High level of English.
We value candidates:
- Knowledge of reducing the domain gap between simulated and real data.
- Previous experience with Vision-Language Models (VLMs).
- Experience in model optimization.
- Knowledge of Agentic AI frameworks.
- Ph.D. in areas related to Computer Vision or Machine Learning.
