The 5G Forum is the leading multidisciplinary event focused on 5G technology held in Spain, taking place at the Nissan Cartuja Auditorium in Seville from May 12 to 16. It serves as a key platform where annual advancements in 5G technology are presented, offering an opportunity to exchange knowledge on the practical applications of this technology with leading experts in the field.
The 6GDIFERENTE project will play a prominent role in the eighth edition of the 5G Forum, alongside more than 60 entities from the telecommunications sector. The project will be featured in specialized presentations and live demonstrations, such as volumetric video content in XR environments, illustrating practical applications of the mobile networks of the future.
Dr. Sergio Cabrero and Dr. Zaloa Fernández from Vicomtech, Arnau Singla from i2cat, and José Joaquín Escudero from Gradiant will also present the project’s results and address topics such as future mobile networks, 6G, satellite networks, and advanced communications in a series of talks throughout the event.
6GDIFERENTE represents an approach to designing a comprehensive 5G network architecture that is scalable to 6G technologies, bringing together the experience and capabilities of three leading technology centers with extensive expertise in 6G: Vicomtech, i2cat, and Gradiant. The project is also made possible thanks to the support and funding from CDTI Innovación.
The 5G Forum offers a great opportunity for 6GDIFERENTE to showcase its capabilities in innovative 5G and 6G network environments, taking another step forward toward the future of telecommunications.
