Vicomtech-IK4 takes part in the e-Pilepsy project together with Bilbomatica, ERESA and La Fe Health Research Institute

The e-Pilepsy project lies on the development of an advanced navigation system with the aim of offering support tools for neurosurgeons during the surgery.
It allows the surgeon to know all the details about the morphological and functional anatomy of the patient during the real surgery, in order to deploy some measuring electrodes near the region of the epileptic seizure focus during the previous cognitive evaluation.
The tool allows to segment easily the patient's anatomy and to use the segmentation as a virtual 3D support for the virtual planning of the surgery, deploying up to 20 electrodes.
