Development of personalized medicine models for the early prediction of prevalent and infectious diseases.
BG25
Duration:
01.04.2025 - 31.12.2026
The project aims to gain a deep understanding of the biological and molecular processes of aging, including the pathological mechanisms that affect health in advanced age. It also seeks to identify predictive biomarkers for the early diagnosis of diseases such as diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular, neurodegenerative, and infectious diseases. To achieve this, innovative medical technologies will be developed, such as devices for home sample collection and non-invasive sensors. Additionally, the project will study the impact of diet on aging at the molecular level by integrating metabolomics into cohort analyses to obtain precise data. The development of advanced diagnostic and early prognosis technologies using advanced imaging techniques, biosensors, and artificial intelligence is also planned, aiming to predict pathologies and personalize treatments. Finally, an effective dissemination and knowledge transfer program will be established to reach the scientific community, the productive sector, and society at large, maximizing the impact and output of the research.
