Advanced technologies for demonstration-based learning in smart production environments
IKASPROD
Duration:
01.05.2024 - 31.03.2026
Industry 5.0 requires intelligent flexible production systems to be easily reconfigurable. In this scenario, learning by demonstration is a long-term strategy that allows users to prepare systems to perform new tasks without having to program them using traditional machine commands. IKASprod focuses on the use and combination of advanced technologies to facilitate this programming by demonstration in intelligent production environments.
How can we accelerate the learning process of an intelligent system and free up humans to perform tasks that empower them further? The main objective of IKASprod is to develop advanced intelligent technologies to facilitate learning by demonstration in smart production environments, thereby achieving more efficient cooperation between humans and intelligent systems, empowering humans and creating a more fluid and efficient environment.
The specific objectives of this project are:
- To advance technologies for recognising natural multimodal interactions: speech recognition, gesture/posture recognition and VR.
- To facilitate the process of programming tasks to be carried out by intelligent systems: natural language to code, dialogue systems.
- To increase the uptake of researched techniques and methods by industry.
The consortium behind this collaborative research project comprises: Tekniker, TECNALIA Research & Innovation, IMH Campus, OraiNLP and Vicomtech, and is supported by the SPRI Group’s ELKARTEK programme.
