cyBErsecure industriAl Computing cONtinuum

The project “cyBErsecure industriAl Computing Continuum (BEACON)” arises from the secure connection between IoT, Edge, and Cloud technologies, collectively known as the Computing Continuum. However, the growing use of these technologies in all types of systems—including critical industrial infrastructures—makes it essential to adopt a holistic security strategy. BEACON aims to ensure the cross-cutting application of security measures within the Computing Continuum to protect program execution and information exchange.

It is worth noting that this new approach differs from previous projects submitted to the same call (such as SENDAI, TRUSTIND, and REMEDY), which focused on the individual protection of assets and lacked the holistic perspective offered by BEACON. This proposal seeks to address the urgent need for secure and robust solutions in critical industrial infrastructures by developing a comprehensive Secure Computing Continuum framework that enhances the resilience, interoperability, and privacy of these systems.
