Industrial Interaction with localIzed augmented reality
INICIAR
Duration:
01.03.2017 - 31.03.2019
The objective of the INICIAR project is to develop and apply a set of high-value-added technologies in industrial environments. The main innovations highlighted in the project include the following:
1. Radio frequency detection in industrial plants: where multiple methodologies have been tested to track various operators in industrial plants using wearable devices.
2. Tracking, identification, and re-identification using a camera network: another innovative application of the INICIAR project is the tracking and re-identification of operators in industrial environments. This allows for monitoring the flow of people within the plants, identifying potential anomalies in critical areas and high-traffic zones.
3. Multimodal interfaces of dialogue systems and augmented reality: another challenge overcome by the INICIAR project has been the integration of different technologies such as augmented reality and dialogue systems.
4. Incremental development methodology for robust dialogue managers: One of the most recurring problems when developing dialogue systems in industrial environments.
5. Tracking and identification of objects without markers and textures: Markers are typically used on objects for object detection.
