Laboratory for promoting advanced digitalisation within the concept of smart industry

Creation of a joint Digital Media & Communications, Advanced Manufacturing and Data Intelligence laboratory with the capabilities of all three departments. The aim is for the new laboratory to serve as a base for R&D&I projects to provide solutions for the industrial sector. In this context, the laboratory's main focus is on the 4.0 concept, where Vicomtech is already a benchmark and where it intends to remain at the forefront. To this end, of the different technological axes that make up Industry 4.0, Vicomtech focuses on the following aspects:

- Big Data

- 5G and industrial communications 

- Cybersecurity 

-Edge-Cloud-Fog Computing 

- Artificial Intelligence (in its different forms) 

-IoT: Capturing physical reality (sensors, cameras, etc.) 

With the new infrastructure, Vicomtech aims to equip itself with unique capabilities that will enable it to tackle industrial projects and advanced R&D&I activities that combine several of the above areas, so that Vicomtech can stand out with its technological offering.
