LarGe-scale OperatiONal Common Security Research Data Repository
LAGOON
Duration:
01.01.2027 - 31.12.2029
Capitalising on the foundations laid by LAGO and TESSERA, LAGOON aims to create, develop, deploy and carry out extensive testing and evaluation (verification and validation) of a fully functional, operational, descentralised, and interoperable common security Research Data Repository (RDR). The repository will build upon the LAGO roadmap and the relevant governance, architecture, technological, legal, ethical and organisational recommendations defined for the domain of FCT, and extend the LAGO skeleton and overall framework to encompass othe security research domains, including BM, INFRA, and DRS, by throughly taking into account their inherit idiosyncrasies. The RDR will enable the secure and accurate gathering, storage, onboarding, management, access, searching, sharing and preservation of verified, high- quality, realistic, up-to-date and sufficient training and testing data to support data sharing and reuse among and across all relevant actors and stakeholders in the security research and innovation community (EU security research projects during and beyond their lifecycle, security practitioners, researchers/academia, industry, SMEs, CSOs/NGOs, policy makers, EU agencies, etc). To ensure the long-term viabiility and plan, while enabling future interoperability with EU data infrastructures, including EOSC anda Data Space initiatives. With 12 partners with extensive experience in FCT, BM, INFRA and DRS EU projects, including nine key partners from LAGO and three challenges from TESSERA. as well as security practitioners collectively bringing together a strong representation of the challenges, technologies, and expertise across all security domanis of interest. LAGOON is uniquely positioned to achive its objectives and deliver an operational common security RDR.
