Network of excellence for state-of-the-art customized invasive medical devices

The DIM3D Project (Network of Excellence in Next-Generation Personalized Invasive Medical Devices) aims to drive innovation in the development of personalized medical devices through advanced technologies such as additive manufacturing (3D printing) and digitalization. It is led by a consortium formed by IDONIAL, LEITAT, VICOMTECH, and AIN, all recognized for their expertise in technology and healthcare. Its main goal is to strengthen R&D capabilities and promote collaboration with hospitals, universities, and medical industry partners.
The project focuses on creating new materials, processes, and regulatory frameworks for next-generation invasive devices, ensuring safety and compliance. It also promotes technical training, talent attraction, gender equality, and social inclusion.
DIM3D is expected to generate a strong socioeconomic impact by contributing to active aging and providing advanced medical solutions that improve patients’ quality of life. Its governance model ensures effective coordination among partners, shared intellectual property, and strategies for scientific and industrial dissemination.
