Operational robotics for quality control, inspection, and assisted maintenance for defense

The group's overall objective is to design, develop, and integrate a set of advanced digital technologies aligned with Industry 5.0 principles to respond to emerging challenges in the field of security and defense. This Strategic Program is geared toward creating innovative solutions that combine immersive simulation, digital twins, collaborative and mobile robotics, AI, and predictive maintenance to enhance the autonomy, security, and efficiency of platforms in complex and changing operational environments. This vision will be realized through the definition, integration, and validation of three interoperable modules for defense platforms: (i) a digital twin with immersive simulation capabilities for planning, training, and decision-making; (ii) collaborative and mobile robotics systems for logistics and field maintenance operations; and (iii) an intelligent robotic cell for predictive maintenance of critical subsystems.
