The AutoTrust Project (Trustworthy Autonomous Mobility through Explainable and Evaluated Artificial Intelligence Technologies) aims to develop explainable and reliable AI systems applied to Connected, Cooperative, and Autonomous Mobility (CCAM). Led by VICOMTECH, with partners such as BCAM, CEIT, TECNALIA, IKERLAN, AIC, Mondragon University, and UPV/EHU, the consortium addresses key challenges of trust, transparency, and safety in autonomous vehicles.
Its main goal is to create methodologies that enable the evaluation, auditing, and explanation of AI decisions, ensuring functional safety and social acceptance. The project will develop tools to visualize critical data, detect anomalies, and establish reliability metrics.
AutoTrust aligns with the PCTI Euskadi 2030 strategy, contributing to the Smart Industry priority and promoting a digital and sustainable economy. It will directly impact the automotive, mobility, industrial, and rail transport sectors, strengthening collaboration between research and industry through an Advisory Board.
Overall, AutoTrust positions the Basque Country as a leader in trustworthy AI for autonomous mobility, boosting technological competitiveness and sustainability in the mobility sector.
