Technological pathways for quantum innovation

KUBIBIT

The KUBIT project is a strategic research initiative led by a consortium of Basque technology centers and universities, aimed at advancing quantum computing capabilities to boost innovation in the industrial sector. Its core mission is to explore quantum computing and simulation methods, algorithms, and approaches that can complement artificial intelligence in solving complex industrial challenges. The project focuses on evaluating the technological maturity, industrial applicability, and potential impact of quantum technologies, particularly in areas such as optimization, simulation, and machine learning. By leveraging cutting-edge quantum hardware and quantum-inspired techniques, KUBIT aims to develop a portfolio of industrial property assets and lay the foundations for the future adoption of quantum computing in key sectors of the Basque economy. It is supported by the Basque Government’s Elkartek program and forms part of the broader strategy to strengthen technological sovereignty and competitiveness in critical emerging technologies.
