Towards an adaptive AI in Language Technologies applied to industrial sectors RIS3

The ADAPT-IA Project (Towards Adaptive AI in Language Technologies applied to RIS3 Industrial Sectors) aims to promote Adaptive Artificial Intelligence (AI) to optimize industrial processes through the integration of the Basque language in technological environments. Led by VICOMTECH with partners UPV/EHU, INVEMA, ACE, AIC, MAFEX, and UZEI, the consortium focuses on adapting Language Technologies (LT) to key Basque industrial sectors, enhancing digitalization and productivity.
The project develops Basque linguistic resources, applies adaptive learning paradigms (active, reinforcement, and transfer learning), and incorporates MLOps methodologies to ensure continuously updated and efficient AI systems.
It also emphasizes validation with real industrial partners and the transfer of outcomes to the business ecosystem, especially in manufacturing, energy, automotive, and railway sectors.
ADAPT-IA strengthens regional competitiveness by promoting the use of Basque in industry and positioning the Basque Country as a leader in AI-driven language technology and Industry 5.0 innovation.
