The agreement provides a framework to strengthen the relationship that the two organisations have maintained for several years and to develop new joint initiatives in education, research and knowledge transfer.
One of the main areas of collaboration will be to bring Vicomtech’s applied research activities closer to Tecnun students and give them the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the work carried out at a technology research centre. In this context, Vicomtech professionals and researchers will participate in undergraduate and master’s seminars and classes, as well as collaborating on technological mentoring activities.
The agreement also includes student visits to Vicomtech’s facilities and the centre’s collaboration with Tecnun’s Formula Student programme. These initiatives will give future professionals the opportunity to gain a closer understanding of digital technologies and their application to current industrial challenges.
The collaboration will also extend to research. Vicomtech and Tecnun will be able to develop joint R&D projects, participate in University-Business calls and collaborate on doctoral theses, as well as promote other initiatives of common interest. This will open up new opportunities to connect the research capabilities of both organisations and generate applied knowledge in relevant technological fields.
For Vicomtech, this collaboration represents another step in strengthening its links with the university environment and contributing to the development of new talent specialised in digital technologies. At the same time, it provides students with the opportunity to gain experience in an applied research environment where they can complement their academic training and explore professional opportunities linked to technological innovation.
The agreement thus strengthens the connection between academia and applied research and establishes a framework for developing new joint initiatives that contribute to professional training and the promotion of technological innovation in the region.
