Big Data for RIS3

The BID3ABI project was structured into three work packages. The first and third work packages focused on identifying needs and integrating business processes for Big Data, respectively. The second work package focused on investigating different aspects of Big Data: Perception and interpretation, Architectures and processing systems, Security and privacy, Data science, and Visualization. It's important to note that this project built upon the results achieved in the preceding project, BID3A, which ran during 2015 and early 2016.

The original plan covered 2016 and 2017. During 2016, from April to December, Work Package 1 was fully completed, Work Package 2 was partially completed but not finished, and Work Package 3 was launched in the last two months of the year. The tasks that were active and their scope during 2016 are explained in the following paragraphs. It should be noted that only a small part of the deliverables planned for the project corresponded to the year 2016, so the following descriptions incorporate the results associated with each task and sub-task at the end of the year.
