Smartcity Technology Platform for the improvement of port processes and generation of new services

CITYPORT

Duration:

01.06.2016 - 10.05.2019

The final aim of CITYPORT project is to design, develop and implant and ITC platform that supports on decision-making of port processes through advanced exploitation of data from heterogeneous sensors, permitting the provision of new secure services from the same.

CITYPORT project intends to unify operation-systems existing in most ports, AIS systems for vessel-tracking, Port Community Systems, video surveillance cameras, sensors, etc. so that information capture is made unilaterally, and is available on an integral platform that can make profit of interrelations coexisting among inhabitants of the port (vessels, trucks, vehicles, workers, operators, police, etc.). It is expected the project to notably impact on port-community, clients and various entities that participate in the logistic chain.

It has to be stressed that CITYPORT project is created as a multidisciplinary collaboration R&D&I project in the area of Information and Communication Technology, where it is expected to create re-usable tools, and to work in innovative skills, both technology and knowledge, that can be used as a differentiating element within the range of products and services the entities (IKUSI, NEXTEL, INNOVALIA, DEUSTO and VICOMTECH) forming the consortium offer, and increase their competitiveness.
