European Federation for Cancer Images

EUCAIM

Duration:

02.01.2025 - 31.12.2026

The EUCAIM project (European Federation for Cancer Images) is a European initiative aimed at creating a federated infrastructure to share and analyze medical images related to cancer across Europe. The platform connects hospitals, research centers, and technology companies to enable secure access to large datasets of oncological images.

EUCAIM seeks to support the development and validation of artificial intelligence tools applied to the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of cancer. By providing access to high-quality data from different European countries, researchers and developers can improve algorithms and models that assist healthcare professionals in clinical decision-making.

The project also promotes collaboration between institutions and encourages knowledge exchange within the scientific community. In addition, it ensures that data are used in compliance with European data protection regulations and ethical research principles.

EUCAIM is part of the European Cancer Imaging Initiative, within the framework of Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan, which aims to improve cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment through the advanced use of health data.

Overall, EUCAIM contributes to strengthening cancer research and advancing towards more personalized medicine, supported by large-scale data analysis and innovative digital technologies.
