Immerse, interact, investigate

Infinity will innovate and deliver a pioneering immersive-reality environment that equips lawenforcement agencies (LEAs) with an analytical platform for cutting-edge intelligence extraction, analysis, visualization and collaboration across teams and countries to address the challenge broughtabout by the exponential increase in investigative data in before, during and after major criminal and terrorist attacks.

Through an extensive research, design and development process, that places the needs of LEAs at the heart of the requirements processes and builds upon leading edge research in the fields of cognition, human-computer interaction (HCI), computer supported cooperative work (CSCW), artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR), Infinity will drive forward the call for a radical rethink in how LEAs extract actionable information from raw data throughout the entirety of the intelligence cycle and work collaboratively across multiple jurisdictions in a harmonious and mutually beneficial manner.

Vicomtech will lead the "Visualization and Reporting" package, that is to say, it will explore innovative ways to visualize data in augmented and immersive reality environments and will create a set of tools to export data and results, for the creation of reports and for virtual surveillance or monitoring.

In terms of the technologies used, we will use artificial intelligence and augmented reality tools. FlexControl technology will be adapted and we will rely on it for the visualization parts.

The Infinity project is a project funded by the European Commission within the Framework H2020 (grant number 883293), which has started on 1 June 2020 and will last 36 months.
