Deep speech and language processing: Deep speech and natural language processing laboratory
Deep Speech and Language Processing
Duration:
01.05.2018 - 30.09.2019
The incorporation of the new equipment into the laboratory requires a work and management plan, which is detailed below. The equipment selection, purchase, and subsequent installation and commissioning processes are sufficiently complex and extensive to warrant being treated as a project in themselves. A description of the objectives to be met in each of the tasks comprising the laboratory installation and construction project is presented.
Design and Equipment
The laboratory design is established, clearly indicating each of the functionalities to be covered by each of the associated lines of research. It is important to note that the planned design must be flexible so that different lines of research can be addressed and different experiments can be carried out simultaneously, thus maximizing the use of the equipment.
Supplier Search
During this phase, equipment that meets the technical requirements defined in the previous task will be searched for. In addition, a process will be initiated to find suppliers for the equipment identified and listed in the specifications.
Low-Level Testing
In this task, as the proposed set of materials for the laboratory is deployed, various low-level evaluation or testing tasks will be carried out. These tests will be aimed at validating the basic functionalities specified by the equipment supplier to ensure they are within the established tolerances.
Integration Testing
As a complement to the low-level tests, integration tests aim to validate the communication or interaction between different entities within the laboratory, provided it is compatible.
Validation
During this final task, all components will be integrated and validated, either individually or as a whole. A scenario will be defined that encompasses a significant portion of the speech and natural language processing value chain in order to establish a validation scenario capable of demonstrating the laboratory's capabilities.
