Sensorization under limiting conditions integrated into a digital energy control architecture



The general objective of the EFFORT 4.0 project is to develop a digital architecture for productive control and energy consumption in extreme environments (high temperatures and pressures, sand, humidity or dust in suspension), based on advanced predictive models of real-time control of the forging and smelting processes (cast iron and HPDC aluminum injection).

Vicomtech contributes its knowledge and advances in the research on the digitalization of hot components and in cloud computing architectures for industrial applications of artificial vision. The center puts at the service of the consortium the experience of the Cognitive Vision group, specialized among other aspects in dimensional inspection.

The EFFORT project consortium is led by Alcorta and consists of 14 other companies and centers in the metal and ICT sector.
